About the Program

Reach4it is a free online service connecting both teens and adults with volunteer online mentors who have an experience or career path to share.

All funding for this program comes from private sponsors and advertisers. If you wish to make a contribution, post a banner link, or mention us in your newsletters, please contact us. Thank you!

Site Guidelines

Internet Safety

This site is an "open" email format, where participants in the mentoring program can email each other directly. We wish to emphasize, in the strongest possible terms, that we believe everyone should exercise these safe surfing guidelines at all times:
- the people you meet through Reach4It, or any other Internet venue, are "strangers" whose identities cannot be verified
- do not disclose your full name, street address, or telephone numbers or offer to meet someone in person
- NEVER offer to meet someone you only know through the Internet

Honesty

This site depends on a large measure of trust between our mentor and protégé pairs. As such, we expect users will honestly represent their skills and experience and relevant personal details (e.g., gender, life experiences, qualifications) when signing up as either a mentor or a protégé.

Liability

Users recognize that Reach4it is not a substitute for professional career or personal assistance. Users are responsible for verifying independently any advice or information they receive through participation in this program as either a mentor or a protégé. We cannot be held responsible for any individual's actions taken as a result of participation in this program.

In addition, it is your choice to release your email address to another individual. Neither Reach4It nor its agents or officers can be held responsible for any actions taken by another individual or organization as a result of your participation in this program. Stay safe online!
